Sump Pump PA

It has that funny tongue twister of a name but a sump pump is not joking matter when it comes to keeping water out of your basement. Whether you need to replace your old one or you’re in need of a first time installation, the professionals at Basement Lifeguard can help you choose the right model sump pump for your home.

If you’re not totally familiar what a sump pump does, here’s a brief explanation. A sump is basically a small basin dug into your basement floor that contains a pump that draws the water away from your home. Generally speaking there are two types of sump pumps: submersible and pedestal. The submersible type is placed inside the sump and sealed. The pedestal type is mounted above the sump making for easier maintenance but is obviously harder to hide from view.

Other optional features include the sump liner capacity, the horsepower (hp) of the pump motor as well as battery or electric systems. Electric systems usually include a battery backup in the event of a power outage. As a consumer, it’s important to be wary of cheap and discount brands. Basement Lifeguard only sells and installs the leading brands in the industry such as Zoeller, Little Giant and Flotec.
